When the first edition of Pediatric Psychopharmacology published in 2002, it filled a void in child and adolescent psychiatry and quickly establishing itself as the definitive text-reference in pediatric psychopharmacology. While numerous short, clinically focused paperbacks have been published since then, no competitors with the scholarly breadth, depth, and luster of this volume have emerged. In the second edition, Christopher Kratochvil, MD, a highly respected expert in pediatric psychopharmacology, joins the outstanding editorial team led by Dr. Martin and Dr. Scahill. In the new edition, the editors streamline the flow of information to reflect the growth in scientific data since the first edition appeared. The overall structure of the book remains the same, with major sections on underlying biology; somatic interventions; assessment and treatment; and special considerations. Andres Martin, Professor of Child Psychiatry and Psychiatry Director of Medical Studies, Yale Child Study Center, Yale University School of Medicine, Edited by Lawrence Scahill, Associate Professor of Child Psychiatry and Nursing, Yale Child Study Center, Yale University School of Medicine, and Edited by Christopher Kratochvil, Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics, University of Nebraska Medical Center Andrés Martin, MD, MPH is the Riva Ariella Ritvo Professor at the Yale Child Study Center. Book condition
An important factor of a second-hand book is the condition of the book. The buyer may not be surprised. Always mention damages or defects. We use a system with 3 stars:
The book is acceptable: you have used it to study and made notes and markings – but everything is still readable. The cover and pages are in good condition.
The book still looks good: there are a few notes in it and you marked it. There are hardly any signs of use on the cover and pages
The book is (almost) new: you have not written or marked in it. There are no signs of use on the cover and pages
