Dr. Nolen-Hoeksema has won numerous awards for her research on depression, including the Early Career Award from the American Psychology Association and Research Career Award from the National Institute of Mental Health. Recent books buy Dr. Nolen-Hoeksema include Coping with Loss (1999), and Depression in Children and Adolescents (in press). Dr. Nolen-Hoeksema has taught Abnormal Psychology at the University of Michigan and at Stanford University, and has won multiple awards for her teaching. She currently directs the Gender and Mental Health Training Program at the University of Michigan and carries on an active program of research on psychosocial factors in depression.
